Thank you for supporting your local Hoedown on Sunday, October 16! Over 20,000 people walked the streets of University Avenue between Vermont and Normal, most of whom dawned their best Urban Cowboy.
You dug up that cowboy hat from 1994 and rallied up that matching costume from last years Halloween party! And for that, we thank you, our first and second place winners of the costume competition won over $350 worth of Fabulous Hillcrest goodies.
Hillcrest wouldn’t let a fall themed festival pass us by without both a petting zoo and hay rides. With so many family friendly games and activities, University Avenue was adorned with families, singles, friends and cowboys alike!
Urban Kickers sponsored the main stage with a country themed line up, a festive DJ who spun hits perfect for dancing in cowboy boots.
